14:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּנִ֣ים אַתֶּ֔ם לַיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם לֹ֣א תִתְגֹּֽדְד֗וּ וְלֹֽא ־תָשִׂ֧ימוּ קׇרְחָ֛ה בֵּ֥ין עֵינֵיכֶ֖ם לָמֵֽת ׃
υἱοί ἐστε κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν οὐ φοιβήσετε οὐκ ἐπιθήσετε φαλάκρωμα ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν ὑμῶν ἐπὶ νεκρῷ
Filii estote Domini Dei vestri : non vos incidetis , nec facietis calvitium super mortuo :
ውሉደ ፡ ትከውኑ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ወኢትትላጸዩ ፡ ርእሰክሙ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ዘሞተ ።
You are the children of Yahweh your God. You shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
14:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י עַ֤ם קָדוֹשׁ֙ אַתָּ֔ה לַיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ וּבְךָ֞ בָּחַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה לִֽהְי֥וֹת לוֹ֙ לְעַ֣ם סְגֻלָּ֔ה מִכֹּל֙ הָֽעַמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל ־פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָֽה ׃ {ס}
ὅτι λαὸς ἅγιος εἶ κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου καὶ σὲ ἐξελέξατο κύριος ὁ θεός σου γενέσθαι σε αὐτῷ λαὸν περιούσιον ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν τῶν ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς
quoniam populus sanctus es Domino Deo tuo , et te elegit ut sis ei in populum peculiarem de cunctis gentibus , quae sunt super terram .
እስመ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ አንተ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ወኪያከ ፡ ኀርየ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትኩኖ ፡ ሕዝቦ ፡ ለርእሱ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ምድር ።
For you are a holy people to Yahweh your God, and Yahweh has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.
14:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹ֥א תֹאכַ֖ל כׇּל ־תּוֹעֵבָֽה ׃
οὐ φάγεσθε πᾶν βδέλυγμα
Ne comedatis quae immunda sunt .
ወኢትብልዑ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ዘርኩስ ።
You shall not eat any abominable thing.
14:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ זֹ֥את הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֹּאכֵ֑לוּ שׁ֕וֹר שֵׂ֥ה כְשָׂבִ֖ים וְשֵׂ֥ה עִזִּֽים ׃
ταῦτα τὰ κτήνη ἃ φάγεσθε μόσχον ἐκ βοῶν καὶ ἀμνὸν ἐκ προβάτων καὶ χίμαρον ἐξ αἰγῶν
Hoc est animal quod comedere debetis : bovem , et ovem , et capram ,
ወዝንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘትበልዑ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ላህመ ፡ ወበግዐ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ አባግዕ ፡ ወሐርጌ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ አጣሊ ።
These are the animals which you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,
14:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַיָּ֥ל וּצְבִ֖י וְיַחְמ֑וּר וְאַקּ֥וֹ וְדִישֹׁ֖ן וּתְא֥וֹ וָזָֽמֶר ׃
ἔλαφον καὶ δορκάδα καὶ βούβαλον καὶ τραγέλαφον καὶ πύγαργον ὄρυγα καὶ καμηλοπάρδαλιν
cervum et capream , bubalum , tragelaphum , pygargum , orygem , camelopardalum .
ወሀየል ፡ ወወይጠል ፡ ወቶራ ፡ ወደስክን ፡ ወወዕላ ፡ ወኦሪጋ ፡ ወዘራት ።
the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the chamois.
14:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכׇל ־בְּהֵמָ֞ה מַפְרֶ֣סֶת פַּרְסָ֗ה וְשֹׁסַ֤עַת שֶׁ֙סַע֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י פְרָס֔וֹת מַעֲלַ֥ת גֵּרָ֖ה בַּבְּהֵמָ֑ה אֹתָ֖הּ תֹּאכֵֽלוּ ׃
πᾶν κτῆνος διχηλοῦν ὁπλὴν καὶ ὀνυχιστῆρας ὀνυχίζον δύο χηλῶν καὶ ἀνάγον μηρυκισμὸν ἐν τοῖς κτήνεσιν ταῦτα φάγεσθε
Omne animal , quod in duas partes findit ungulam , et ruminat , comedetis .
ወኵሉ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ዘንፉቅ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ፡ ወንፉቅ ፡ ጽፍሩ ፡ ወክልኤቱ ፡ ጽፈሪሁ ፡ ወይትመሰኳዕ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ዘትበልዑ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ እንስሳ ።
Every animal that parts the hoof, and has the hoof split in two and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.
14:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַ֣ךְ אֶת ־זֶ֞ה לֹ֤א תֹֽאכְלוּ֙ מִמַּֽעֲלֵ֣י הַגֵּרָ֔ה וּמִמַּפְרִיסֵ֥י הַפַּרְסָ֖ה הַשְּׁסוּעָ֑ה אֶֽת ־הַ֠גָּמָ֠ל וְאֶת ־הָאַרְנֶ֨בֶת וְאֶת ־הַשָּׁפָ֜ן כִּֽי ־מַעֲלֵ֧ה גֵרָ֣ה הֵ֗מָּה וּפַרְסָה֙ לֹ֣א הִפְרִ֔יסוּ טְמֵאִ֥ים הֵ֖ם לָכֶֽם ׃
καὶ ταῦτα οὐ φάγεσθε ἀπὸ τῶν ἀναγόντων μηρυκισμὸν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν διχηλούντων τὰς ὁπλὰς καὶ ὀνυχιζόντων ὀνυχιστῆρας τὸν κάμηλον καὶ δασύποδα καὶ χοιρογρύλλιον ὅτι ἀνάγουσιν μηρυκισμὸν καὶ ὁπλὴν οὐ διχηλοῦσιν ἀκάθαρτα ταῦτα ὑμῖν ἐστιν
De his autem , quae ruminant , et ungulam non findunt , comedere non debetis , ut camelum , leporem , choerogryllum : haec , quia ruminant et non dividunt ungulam , immunda erunt vobis .
ወዝንቱ ፡ ዘኢትበልዑ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ዘይትመሰኳዕ ፡ ወዘንፉቅ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ፡ ወዘክፉል ፡ ጽፈሪሁ ፡ ገመል ፡ ወዳሲጶዳ ፡ ወክሮግርሊዮን ፡ እስመ ፡ ይትመሰኳዕ ፡ ወኢኮነ ፡ ንፉቀ ፡ ጽፈሪሁ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
Nevertheless these you shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of those who have the hoof split: the camel, the hare, and the rabbit. Because they chew the cud but don’t part the hoof, they are unclean to you.
14:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶת ־הַ֠חֲזִ֠יר כִּֽי ־מַפְרִ֨יס פַּרְסָ֥ה הוּא֙ וְלֹ֣א גֵרָ֔ה טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶ֑ם מִבְּשָׂרָם֙ לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֔לוּ וּבְנִבְלָתָ֖ם לֹ֥א תִגָּֽעוּ ׃ {ס}
καὶ τὸν ὗν ὅτι διχηλεῖ ὁπλὴν τοῦτο καὶ ὀνυχίζει ὄνυχας ὁπλῆς καὶ τοῦτο μηρυκισμὸν οὐ μαρυκᾶται ἀκάθαρτον τοῦτο ὑμῖν ἀπὸ τῶν κρεῶν αὐτῶν οὐ φάγεσθε καὶ τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν οὐχ ἅψεσθε
Sus quoque , quoniam dividat ungulam et non ruminat , immunda erit . Carnibus eorum non vescemini , et cadavera non tangetis .
ወዝእብኒ ፡ እስመ ፡ ንፉቅ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ፡ ወክፉል ፡ ጽፈሪሁ ፡ ወተመስኵዖሰ ፡ ኢይትመሰኳዕ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ሥጋሆሙ ፡ ኢትብልዑ ፡ ወበድኖሙኒ ፡ ኢትግስሱ ።
The pig, because it has a split hoof but doesn’t chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat their meat. You shall not touch their carcasses.
14:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֶת ־זֶה֙ תֹּֽאכְל֔וּ מִכֹּ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּמָּ֑יִם כֹּ֧ל אֲשֶׁר ־ל֛וֹ סְנַפִּ֥יר וְקַשְׂקֶ֖שֶׂת תֹּאכֵֽלוּ ׃
καὶ ταῦτα φάγεσθε ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐν τοῖς ὕδασιν πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτοῖς πτερύγια καὶ λεπίδες φάγεσθε
Haec comedetis ex omnibus quae morantur in aquis : quae habent pinnulas et squamas , comedite :
ወዝንቱ ፡ ዘትበልዑ ፡ ዘእምውስተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘቦቱ ፡ ክንፈ ፡ ወቅሣረ ፡ ብልዑ ።
These you may eat of all that are in the waters: you may eat whatever has fins and scales.
14:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכֹ֨ל אֲשֶׁ֧ר אֵֽין ־ל֛וֹ סְנַפִּ֥יר וְקַשְׂקֶ֖שֶׂת לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֑לוּ טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם ׃ {ס}
καὶ πάντα ὅσα οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτοῖς πτερύγια καὶ λεπίδες οὐ φάγεσθε ἀκάθαρτα ὑμῖν ἐστιν
quae absque pinnulis et squamis sunt , ne comedatis , quia immunda sunt .
ወኵሉ ፡ ዘአልቦቱ ፡ ክንፈ ፡ ወቅሣረ ፡ ኢትብልዑ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
You shall not eat whatever doesn’t have fins and scales. It is unclean to you.
14:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ כׇּל ־צִפּ֥וֹר טְהֹרָ֖ה תֹּאכֵֽלוּ ׃
πᾶν ὄρνεον καθαρὸν φάγεσθε
Omnes aves mundas comedite .
ወኵሎ ፡ ዖፈ ፡ ዘንጹሕ ፡ ብልዑ ።
Of all clean birds you may eat.
14:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְזֶ֕ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא ־תֹאכְל֖וּ מֵהֶ֑ם הַנֶּ֥שֶׁר וְהַפֶּ֖רֶס וְהָֽעׇזְנִיָּֽה ׃
καὶ ταῦτα οὐ φάγεσθε ἀπ’ αὐτῶν τὸν ἀετὸν καὶ τὸν γρύπα καὶ τὸν ἁλιαίετον
Immundas ne comedatis : aquilam scilicet , et gryphem , et haliaeetum ,
ወዝንቱ ፡ ዘኢትበልዑ ፡ እምኔሆሙ ፡ ንስር ፡ ወጊጳ ፡ ወኤሊዬጦን ፤
But these are they of which you shall not eat: the eagle, the vulture, the osprey,
14:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָרָאָה֙ וְאֶת ־הָ֣אַיָּ֔ה וְהַדַּיָּ֖ה לְמִינָֽהּ ׃
καὶ τὸν γύπα καὶ τὸν ἰκτῖνα καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ
ixion et vulturem ac milvum juxta genus suum :
ወግሪጳ ፡ ወሆባይ ፡ ወዘአምሳሊሁ ፤
the red kite, the falcon, the kite of any kind,
14:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֥ת כׇּל ־עֹרֵ֖ב לְמִינֽוֹ ׃
καὶ πάντα κόρακα καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ
et omne corvini generis ,
ወቋዕ ፡ ወዘአምሳሊሁ ፤
every raven of any kind,
14:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵת֙ בַּ֣ת הַֽיַּעֲנָ֔ה וְאֶת ־הַתַּחְמָ֖ס וְאֶת ־הַשָּׁ֑חַף וְאֶת ־הַנֵּ֖ץ לְמִינֵֽהוּ ׃
καὶ στρουθὸν καὶ γλαῦκα καὶ λάρον
et struthionem , ac noctuam , et larum , atque accipitrem juxta genus suum :
ወሰገኖ ፡ ወግለውቃ ፡ ወለሮን ፤
the ostrich, the owl, the seagull, the hawk of any kind,
14:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֶת ־הַכּ֥וֹס וְאֶת ־הַיַּנְשׁ֖וּף וְהַתִּנְשָֽׁמֶת ׃
καὶ ἐρωδιὸν καὶ κύκνον καὶ ἶβιν
herodium ac cygnum , et ibin ,
ወአሮድዮን ፡ ወቀቀኖን ፡ ወኢብን ፤
the little owl, the great owl, the horned owl,
14:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַקָּאָ֥ת וְאֶֽת ־הָרָחָ֖מָה וְאֶת ־הַשָּׁלָֽךְ ׃
καὶ καταράκτην καὶ ἱέρακα καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ καὶ ἔποπα καὶ νυκτικόρακα
ac mergulum , porphyrionem , et nycticoracem ,
ወቀጠራቅጤን ፡ ወጕዛ ፡ ወዘአምሳሊሁ ፡ ወሄጶጳ ፡ ወጉጋ ፤
the pelican, the vulture, the cormorant,
14:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַ֣חֲסִידָ֔ה וְהָאֲנָפָ֖ה לְמִינָ֑הּ וְהַדּוּכִיפַ֖ת וְהָעֲטַלֵּֽף ׃
καὶ πελεκᾶνα καὶ χαραδριὸν καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ καὶ πορφυρίωνα καὶ νυκτερίδα
onocrotalum , et charadrium , singula in genere suo : upupam quoque et vespertilionem .
ወአባጕንባሕ ፡ ወከራድዮን ፡ ወዘአምሳሊሁ ፡ ወጶርፍርዮና ፡ ወጽግነት ።
the stork, the heron after its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.
14:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכֹל֙ שֶׁ֣רֶץ הָע֔וֹף טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶ֑ם לֹ֖א יֵאָכֵֽלוּ ׃
πάντα τὰ ἑρπετὰ τῶν πετεινῶν ἀκάθαρτα ταῦτά ἐστιν ὑμῖν οὐ φάγεσθε ἀπ’ αὐτῶν
Et omne quod reptat et pennulas habet , immundum erit , et non comedetur .
ዝንቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አዕዋፍ ፡ ዘርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ወኢትብልዑ ፡ እምኔሆሙ ።
All winged creeping things are unclean to you. They shall not be eaten.
14:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ כׇּל ־ע֥וֹף טָה֖וֹר תֹּאכֵֽלוּ ׃
πᾶν πετεινὸν καθαρὸν φάγεσθε
Omne quod mundum est , comedite .
እምኵሉ ፡ አዕዋፍ ፡ ዘንጹሕ ፡ ብልዑ ።
Of all clean birds you may eat.
14:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹ֣א תֹאכְל֣וּ כׇל ־נְ֠בֵלָ֠ה לַגֵּ֨ר אֲשֶׁר ־בִּשְׁעָרֶ֜יךָ תִּתְּנֶ֣נָּה וַאֲכָלָ֗הּ א֤וֹ מָכֹר֙ לְנׇכְרִ֔י כִּ֣י עַ֤ם קָדוֹשׁ֙ אַתָּ֔ה לַיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ לֹֽא ־תְבַשֵּׁ֥ל גְּדִ֖י בַּחֲלֵ֥ב אִמּֽוֹ ׃ {פ}
πᾶν θνησιμαῖον οὐ φάγεσθε τῷ παροίκῳ τῷ ἐν ταῖς πόλεσίν σου δοθήσεται καὶ φάγεται ἢ ἀποδώσῃ τῷ ἀλλοτρίῳ ὅτι λαὸς ἅγιος εἶ κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου οὐχ ἑψήσεις ἄρνα ἐν γάλακτι μητρὸς αὐτοῦ
Quidquid autem morticinum est , ne vescamini ex eo . Peregrino , qui intra portas tuas est , da ut comedat , aut vende ei : quia tu populus sanctus Domini Dei tui es . Non coques haedum in lacte matris suae .
ወኵሎ ፡ ምውተ ፡ ኢትብልዑ ፡ ለፈላሲ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ሀገርከ ፡ ሀብዎ ፡ ይብላዕ ፡ አው ፡ ሀብዎ ፡ ለባዕድ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ አንተ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ወኢታብስል ፡ ማኅስአ ፡ በሐሊበ ፡ እሙ ።
You shall not eat of anything that dies of itself. You may give it to the foreigner living among you who is within your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it to a foreigner; for you are a holy people to Yahweh your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.
14:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ עַשֵּׂ֣ר תְּעַשֵּׂ֔ר אֵ֖ת כׇּל ־תְּבוּאַ֣ת זַרְעֶ֑ךָ הַיֹּצֵ֥א הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה שָׁנָ֥ה שָׁנָֽה ׃
δεκάτην ἀποδεκατώσεις παντὸς γενήματος τοῦ σπέρματός σου τὸ γένημα τοῦ ἀγροῦ σου ἐνιαυτὸν κατ’ ἐνιαυτόν
Decimam partem separabis de cunctis fructibus tuis qui nascuntur in terra per annos singulos ,
ዐሥራተ ፡ ትዔሥር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እክለከ ፡ ዘዘራእከ ፡ ዘታአቱ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ገራውሂከ ፡ በበ ፡ ዓመቱ ።
You shall surely tithe all the increase of your seed, that which comes out of the field year by year.
14:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאָכַלְתָּ֞ לִפְנֵ֣י ׀ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ בַּמָּק֣וֹם אֲשֶׁר ־יִבְחַר֮ לְשַׁכֵּ֣ן שְׁמ֣וֹ שָׁם֒ מַעְשַׂ֤ר דְּגָֽנְךָ֙ תִּירֹשְׁךָ֣ וְיִצְהָרֶ֔ךָ וּבְכֹרֹ֥ת בְּקָרְךָ֖ וְצֹאנֶ֑ךָ לְמַ֣עַן תִּלְמַ֗ד לְיִרְאָ֛ה אֶת ־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ כׇּל ־הַיָּמִֽים ׃
καὶ φάγῃ αὐτὸ ἔναντι κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου ἐν τῷ τόπῳ ᾧ ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐπικληθῆναι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ οἴσετε τὰ ἐπιδέκατα τοῦ σίτου σου καὶ τοῦ οἴνου σου καὶ τοῦ ἐλαίου σου τὰ πρωτότοκα τῶν βοῶν σου καὶ τῶν προβάτων σου ἵνα μάθῃς φοβεῖσθαι κύριον τὸν θεόν σου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας
et comedes in conspectu Domini Dei tui in loco quem elegerit , ut in eo nomen illius invocetur , decimam frumenti tui , et vini , et olei , et primogenita de armentis et ovibus tuis : ut discas timere Dominum Deum tuum omni tempore .
ወብልዖ ፡ በበ ፡ ዓመቱ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ በመካን ፡ ዘኀርየ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምካክከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሰመይ ፡ ስሙ ፡ በህየ ፡ ወታበውእ ፡ ዓሥራቲሁ ፡ ለእክልከ ፡ ወለወይንከ ፡ ወለቅብእከ ፡ ወበኵረ ፡ አልህምቲከ ፡ ወዘአባግዒከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትመሀር ፡ ፈሪሆቶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መዋዕል ።
You shall eat before Yahweh your God, in the place which he chooses to cause his name to dwell, the tithe of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock; that you may learn to fear Yahweh your God always.
14:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכִֽי ־יִרְבֶּ֨ה מִמְּךָ֜ הַדֶּ֗רֶךְ כִּ֣י לֹ֣א תוּכַל֮ שְׂאֵתוֹ֒ כִּֽי ־יִרְחַ֤ק מִמְּךָ֙ הַמָּק֔וֹם אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִבְחַר֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ לָשׂ֥וּם שְׁמ֖וֹ שָׁ֑ם כִּ֥י יְבָרֶכְךָ֖ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ ׃
ἐὰν δὲ μακρὰν γένηται ἀπὸ σοῦ ἡ ὁδὸς καὶ μὴ δύνῃ ἀναφέρειν αὐτά ὅτι μακρὰν ἀπὸ σοῦ ὁ τόπος ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐπικληθῆναι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ ὅτι εὐλογήσει σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου
Cum autem longior fuerit via , et locus quem elegerit Dominus Deus tuus , tibique benedixerit , nec potueris ad eum haec cuncta portare ,
ወለእመሰ ፡ ርኁቅ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እምኔከ ፡ ፍኖቱ ፡ ወኢትክል ፡ ወሲዶ ፡ እስመ ፡ ርኁቅ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ መካን ፡ ዘኀርየ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሰመይ ፡ ስሙ ፡ በህየ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይባርከ [ከ ] ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፤
If the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it because the place which Yahweh your God shall choose to set his name there is too far from you, when Yahweh your God blesses you,
14:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנָתַתָּ֖ה בַּכָּ֑סֶף וְצַרְתָּ֤ הַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ בְּיָ֣דְךָ֔ וְהָֽלַכְתָּ֙ אֶל ־הַמָּק֔וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִבְחַ֛ר יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ בּֽוֹ ׃
καὶ ἀποδώσῃ αὐτὰ ἀργυρίου καὶ λήμψῃ τὸ ἀργύριον ἐν ταῖς χερσίν σου καὶ πορεύσῃ εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου αὐτόν
vendes omnia , et in pretium rediges , portabisque manu tua , et proficisceris ad locum quem elegerit Dominus Deus tuus :
[ወትሬስዮ ፡ ለብሩር ፡ ወትነሥእ ፡ ብሩሮ ፡ በእዴከ ፡ ወተሐውር ፡ ውስተ ፡ መካን ፡ ዘኀረዮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ።]
then you shall turn it into money, bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose.
14:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנָתַתָּ֣ה הַכֶּ֡סֶף בְּכֹל֩ אֲשֶׁר ־תְּאַוֶּ֨ה נַפְשְׁךָ֜ בַּבָּקָ֣ר וּבַצֹּ֗אן וּבַיַּ֙יִן֙ וּבַשֵּׁכָ֔ר וּבְכֹ֛ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר תִּֽשְׁאָלְךָ֖ נַפְשֶׁ֑ךָ וְאָכַ֣לְתָּ שָּׁ֗ם לִפְנֵי֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ וְשָׂמַחְתָּ֖ אַתָּ֥ה וּבֵיתֶֽךָ ׃
καὶ δώσεις τὸ ἀργύριον ἐπὶ παντός οὗ ἐὰν ἐπιθυμῇ ἡ ψυχή σου ἐπὶ βουσὶ ἢ ἐπὶ προβάτοις ἐπὶ οἴνῳ ἢ ἐπὶ σικερα ἢ ἐπὶ παντός οὗ ἐὰν ἐπιθυμῇ ἡ ψυχή σου καὶ φάγῃ ἐκεῖ ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου καὶ εὐφρανθήσῃ σὺ καὶ ὁ οἶκός σου
et emes ex eadem pecunia quidquid tibi placuerit , sive ex armentis , sive ex ovibus , vinum quoque et siceram , et omne quod desiderat anima tua : et comedes coram Domino Deo tuo , et epulaberis tu et domus tua :
ወትሁብ ፡ ሤጦ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ዘፈትወት ፡ ነፍስከ ፡ አው ፡ ለላህም ፡ አው ፡ ለበግዕ ፡ አው ፡ ለወይን ፡ አው ፡ ለሜስ ፡ አው ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ዘፈትወት ፡ ነፍስከ ፡ ወብላዕ ፡ በህየ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ወተፈሣሕ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወቤትከ ፤
You shall trade the money for whatever your soul desires: for cattle, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul asks of you. You shall eat there before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.
14:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַלֵּוִ֥י אֲשֶׁר ־בִּשְׁעָרֶ֖יךָ לֹ֣א תַֽעַזְבֶ֑נּוּ כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין ל֛וֹ חֵ֥לֶק וְנַחֲלָ֖ה עִמָּֽךְ ׃ {ס}
καὶ ὁ Λευίτης ὁ ἐν ταῖς πόλεσίν σου ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ μερὶς οὐδὲ κλῆρος μετὰ σοῦ
et Levites qui intra portas tuas est , cave ne derelinquas eum , quia non habet aliam partem in possessione tua .
ወሌዋዊ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ሀገርከ ፡ እስመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ክፍለ ፡ ወርስተ ፡ ምስሌከ ።
You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no portion nor inheritance with you.
14:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִקְצֵ֣ה ׀ שָׁלֹ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֗ים תּוֹצִיא֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־מַעְשַׂר֙ תְּבוּאָ֣תְךָ֔ בַּשָּׁנָ֖ה הַהִ֑וא וְהִנַּחְתָּ֖ בִּשְׁעָרֶֽיךָ ׃
μετὰ τρία ἔτη ἐξοίσεις πᾶν τὸ ἐπιδέκατον τῶν γενημάτων σου ἐν τῷ ἐνιαυτῷ ἐκείνῳ θήσεις αὐτὸ ἐν ταῖς πόλεσίν σου
Anno tertio separabis aliam decimam ex omnibus quae nascuntur tibi eo tempore , et repones intra januas tuas .
ወበሣልስ ፡ ዓም ፡ ታበውእ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዓሥራተ ፡ እክልከ ፡ ወበዓመቲሁሰ ፡ ታነብሮ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገርከ ።
At the end of every three years you shall bring all the tithe of your increase in the same year, and shall store it within your gates.
14:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבָ֣א הַלֵּוִ֡י כִּ֣י אֵֽין ־לוֹ֩ חֵ֨לֶק וְנַחֲלָ֜ה עִמָּ֗ךְ וְ֠הַגֵּ֠ר וְהַיָּת֤וֹם וְהָֽאַלְמָנָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בִּשְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ וְאָכְל֖וּ וְשָׂבֵ֑עוּ לְמַ֤עַן יְבָרֶכְךָ֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ בְּכׇל ־מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָדְךָ֖ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּעֲשֶֽׂה ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐλεύσεται ὁ λευίτης ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ μερὶς οὐδὲ κλῆρος μετὰ σοῦ καὶ ὁ προσήλυτος καὶ ὁ ὀρφανὸς καὶ ἡ χήρα ἡ ἐν ταῖς πόλεσίν σου καὶ φάγονται καὶ ἐμπλησθήσονται ἵνα εὐλογήσῃ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔργοις οἷς ἐὰν ποιῇς
Venietque Levites qui aliam non habet partem nec possessionem tecum , et peregrinus ac pupillus et vidua , qui intra portas tuas sunt , et comedent et saturabuntur : ut benedicat tibi Dominus Deus tuus in cunctis operibus manuum tuarum quae feceris .
ወእምዝ ፡ ይመጽእ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ሌዋዊ ፡ እስመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ክፍለ ፡ ወርስተ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ወግዩር ፡ ወእጓለ ፡ ማውታ ፡ ወእቤር ፡ እንተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገርከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይብልዑ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ይባርከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ግብርከ ፡ ዘገበርከ ።
The Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, as well as the foreigner living among you, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.
