2:1
וַיִּסְפֹּ֨ר שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה שִׁבְעִ֥ים אֶ֙לֶף֙ אִ֣ישׁ סַבָּ֔ל וּשְׁמוֹנִ֥ים אֶ֛לֶף אִ֖ישׁ חֹצֵ֣ב בָּהָ֑ר וּמְנַצְּחִ֣ים עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֖ים וְשֵׁ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃ {פ}
καὶ συνήγαγεν Σαλωμων ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδας ἀνδρῶν καὶ ὀγδοήκοντα χιλιάδας λατόμων ἐν τῷ ὄρει καὶ οἱ ἐπιστάται ἐπ’ αὐτῶν τρισχίλιοι ἑξακόσιοι
Decrevit autem Salomon aedificare domum nomini Domini, et palatium sibi.
ወይቤ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ከመ፡ ይሕንፅ፡ ቤተ፡ ለስመ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ወይሕንጽ፡ ቤተ፡ ለመንግሥተ፡ ዚአሁ።
Now Solomon decided to build a house for Yahweh’s name, and a house for his kingdom.
2:2
וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה אֶל־חוּרָ֥ם מֶלֶךְ־צֹ֖ר לֵאמֹ֑ר כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשִׂ֙יתָ֙ עִם־דָּוִ֣יד אָבִ֔י וַתִּֽשְׁלַֽח־ל֣וֹ אֲרָזִ֔ים לִבְנֽוֹת־ל֥וֹ בַ֖יִת לָשֶׁ֥בֶת בּֽוֹ׃
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Σαλωμων πρὸς Χιραμ βασιλέα Τύρου λέγων ὡς ἐποίησας μετὰ τοῦ πατρός μου Δαυιδ καὶ ἀπέστειλας αὐτῷ κέδρους τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι ἑαυτῷ οἶκον κατοικῆσαι ἐν αὐτῷ
Et numeravit septuaginta millia virorum portantium humeris, et octoginta millia qui caederent lapides in montibus, praepositosque eorum tria millia sexcentos.
ወአስተጋብአ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ሰብዐተ፡ እልፈ፡ እደወ፡ ፀረብተ፡ ወሰምንተ፡ እልፈ፡ ወቀርተ፡ እብን፡ በውስተ፡ ደብር፡ ወእለ፡ ይነድእዎሙ፡ ሠላሳ፡ ምእት፡ ወስድስቱ፡ ምእት።
Solomon counted out seventy thousand men to bear burdens, eighty thousand men who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred to oversee them.
2:3
הִנֵּה֩ אֲנִ֨י בוֹנֶה־בַּ֜יִת לְשֵׁ֣ם׀ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֗י לְהַקְדִּ֣ישׁ ל֡וֹ לְהַקְטִ֣יר לְפָנָ֣יו קְטֹֽרֶת־סַמִּים֩ וּמַעֲרֶ֨כֶת תָּמִ֤יד וְעֹלוֹת֙ לַבֹּ֣קֶר וְלָעֶ֔רֶב לַשַּׁבָּתוֹת֙ וְלֶ֣חֳדָשִׁ֔ים וּֽלְמוֹעֲדֵ֖י יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ לְעוֹלָ֖ם זֹ֥את עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ οἰκοδομῶ οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου θεοῦ μου ἁγιάσαι αὐτὸν αὐτῷ τοῦ θυμιᾶν ἀπέναντι αὐτοῦ θυμίαμα καὶ πρόθεσιν διὰ παντὸς καὶ τοῦ ἀναφέρειν ὁλοκαυτώματα διὰ παντὸς τὸ πρωὶ καὶ τὸ δείλης καὶ ἐν τοῖς σαββάτοις καὶ ἐν ταῖς νουμηνίαις καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἑορταῖς τοῦ κυρίου θεοῦ ἡμῶν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦτο ἐπὶ τὸν Ισραηλ
Misit quoque ad Hiram regem Tyri, dicens : Sicut egisti cum David patre meo, et misisti ei ligna cedrina ut aedificaret sibi domum, in qua et habitavit :
ወፈነወ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ኀበ፡ ኪራም፡ ናጉሠ፡ ጢሮስ፡ ወይቤ፡ በከመ፡ ገበርከ፡ ምስለ፡ ዳዊት፡ አቡየ፡ ወፈነውከ፡ ሎቱ፡ ዕፀወ፡ ዘግባት፡ ከመ፡ ይሕንዕ፡ ቤተ፡ ከመ፡ ይንበር፡ ውስቴቱ።
Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, “As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house in which to dwell, so deal with me.
2:4
וְהַבַּ֛יִת אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֥י בוֹנֶ֖ה גָּד֑וֹל כִּֽי־גָד֥וֹל אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ מִכׇּל־הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
καὶ ὁ οἶκος ὃν ἐγὼ οἰκοδομῶ μέγας ὅτι μέγας ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν παρὰ πάντας τοὺς θεούς
sic fac mecum ut aedificem domum nomini Domini Dei mei, ut consecrem eam ad adolendum incensum coram illo, et fumiganda aromata, et ad propositionem panum sempiternam, et ad holocautomata mane, et vespere, sabbatis quoque, et neomeniis, et solemnitatibus Domini Dei nostri in sempiternum, quae mandata sunt Israëli.
ወነየ፡ አነ፡ ወልዱ፡ እቤ፡ እሕንፅ፡ ቤተ፡ ለስመ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ አምላኪየ፡ ወከመ፡ እቀድስ፡ ሎቱ፡ ወከመ፡ እዕጥን፡ ዕጣነ፡ በቅድሜሁ፡ ወምሥያመ፡ በኵሉ፡ ጊዜ፡ በበነግህ፡ ወበበሠርክ፡ ወበበሰናብት፡ ወበበሠርቀ፡ ወርኅ፡ ወበበዓላተ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ አምላክነ፡ እስከ፡ ለዓለም፡ ዝንቱ፡ ውእቱ፡ በውስተ፡ እስራኤል።
Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, to dedicate it to him, to burn before him incense of sweet spices, for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Yahweh our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.
2:5
וּמִ֤י יַֽעֲצׇר־כֹּ֙חַ֙ לִבְנֽוֹת־ל֣וֹ בַ֔יִת כִּ֧י הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם וּשְׁמֵ֥י הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם לֹ֣א יְכַלְכְּלֻ֑הוּ וּמִ֤י אֲנִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶבְנֶה־לּ֣וֹ בַ֔יִת כִּ֖י אִם־לְהַקְטִ֥יר לְפָנָֽיו׃
καὶ τίς ἰσχύσει οἰκοδομῆσαι αὐτῷ οἶκον ὅτι ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ οὐ φέρουσιν αὐτοῦ τὴν δόξαν καὶ τίς ἐγὼ οἰκοδομῶν αὐτῷ οἶκον ὅτι ἀλλ’ ἢ τοῦ θυμιᾶν κατέναντι αὐτοῦ
Domus enim quam aedificare cupio, magna est : magnus est enim Deus noster super omnes deos.
ወቤትኒ፡ ዘአነ፡ አሐንዕ፡ ዓቢይ፡ ውእቱ፡ እስመ፡ ዓቢይ፡ ውእቱ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ አምላክነ፡ እምኵሉ፡ አማልክት።
“The house which I am building will be great, for our God is greater than all gods.
2:6
וְעַתָּ֡ה שְֽׁלַֽח־לִ֣י אִישׁ־חָכָ֡ם לַעֲשׂוֹת֩ בַּזָּהָ֨ב וּבַכֶּ֜סֶף וּבַנְּחֹ֣שֶׁת וּבַבַּרְזֶ֗ל וּבָֽאַרְגְּוָן֙ וְכַרְמִ֣יל וּתְכֵ֔לֶת וְיֹדֵ֖עַ לְפַתֵּ֣חַ פִּתּוּחִ֑ים עִם־הַחֲכָמִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר עִמִּי֙ בִּיהוּדָ֣ה וּבִירוּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֵכִ֖ין דָּוִ֥יד אָבִֽי׃
καὶ νῦν ἀπόστειλόν μοι ἄνδρα σοφὸν καὶ εἰδότα τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἐν τῷ χρυσίῳ καὶ ἐν τῷ ἀργυρίῳ καὶ ἐν τῷ χαλκῷ καὶ ἐν τῷ σιδήρῳ καὶ ἐν τῇ πορφύρᾳ καὶ ἐν τῷ κοκκίνῳ καὶ ἐν τῇ ὑακίνθῳ καὶ ἐπιστάμενον γλύψαι γλυφὴν μετὰ τῶν σοφῶν τῶν μετ’ ἐμοῦ ἐν Ιουδα καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ὧν ἡτοίμασεν Δαυιδ ὁ πατήρ μου
Quis ergo poterit praevalere, ut aedificet ei dignam domum ? si caelum, et caeli caelorum, capere eum nequeunt, quantus ego sum, ut possim aedificare ei domum ? sed ad hoc tantum, ut adoleatur incensum coram illo.
ወመኑ፡ ዘይክል፡ ሐኒፀ፡ ሎቱ፡ ቤተ፡ እስመ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወሰማይየ፡ ሰማያት፡ ኢይክሉ፡ ጸዊረ፡ ስብሐተ፡ ዚአሁ፡ ወመኑ፡ አነ፡ ከመ፡ እክል፡ ሐኒፀ፡ ሎቱ፡ ቤተ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ከመ፡ እዕጥን፡ ሎቱ፡ ዕጣነ፡ በቅድሜሁ።
But who is able to build him a house, since heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain him? Who am I then, that I should build him a house, except just to burn incense before him?
2:7
וּֽשְׁלַֽח־לִי֩ עֲצֵ֨י אֲרָזִ֜ים בְּרוֹשִׁ֣ים וְאַלְגּוּמִּים֮ מֵֽהַלְּבָנוֹן֒ כִּ֚י אֲנִ֣י יָדַ֔עְתִּי אֲשֶׁ֤ר עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ יֽוֹדְעִ֔ים לִכְר֖וֹת עֲצֵ֣י לְבָנ֑וֹן וְהִנֵּ֥ה עֲבָדַ֖י עִם־עֲבָדֶֽיךָ׃
καὶ ἀπόστειλόν μοι ξύλα κέδρινα καὶ ἀρκεύθινα καὶ πεύκινα ἐκ τοῦ Λιβάνου ὅτι ἐγὼ οἶδα ὡς οἱ δοῦλοί σου οἴδασιν κόπτειν ξύλα ἐκ τοῦ Λιβάνου καὶ ἰδοὺ οἱ παῖδές σου μετὰ τῶν παίδων μου
Mitte ergo mihi virum eruditum, qui noverit operari in auro, et argento, aere, et ferro, purpura, coccino, et hyacintho : et qui sciat sculpere caelaturas cum his artificibus quos mecum habeo in Judaea, et Jerusalem, quos praeparavit David pater meus.
ወይእዜኒ፡ ፈኑ፡ ሊተ፡ ብእሴ፡ ጠቢበ፡ ዘየአምር፡ ወዘይክል፡ ለቢጠ፡ በወርቅ፡ ወበብሩር፡ ወበብርት፡ ወበሐፂን፡ ወበኅብረ፡ ሜላት፡ ወበኅብረ፡ ለይ፡ ወበያክት፡ ወዘየአምር፡ ወይክል፡ ገሊፈ፡ ምስለ፡ ጠቢባን፡ እለ፡ ሀለዉ፡ ምስሌየ፡ ውስተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወኢየሩሳሌም፡ ዘቸስተዳለወ፡ ዳዊት፡ አቡየ።
“Now therefore send me a man skillful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, and in purple, crimson, and blue, and who knows how to engrave engravings, to be with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
2:8
וּלְהָכִ֥ין לִ֛י עֵצִ֖ים לָרֹ֑ב כִּ֥י הַבַּ֛יִת אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֥י בוֹנֶ֖ה גָּד֥וֹל וְהַפְלֵֽא׃
πορεύσονται ἑτοιμάσαι μοι ξύλα εἰς πλῆθος ὅτι ὁ οἶκος ὃν ἐγὼ οἰκοδομῶ μέγας καὶ ἔνδοξος
Sed et ligna cedrina mitte mihi, et arceuthina, et pinea de Libano : scio enim quod servi tui noverint caedere ligna de Libano : et erunt servi mei cum servis tuis,
ወፈኑ፡ ሊተ፡ ዕፀ፡ ዘግባ፡ እምሊባኖስ፡ ወሕቊ፡ ወጳውቄና፡ እስመ፡ አነ፡ አአምር፡ ወእጤይቅ፡ ከመ፡ አግብርቲከ፡ የአምሩ፡ ገዚመ፡ ዕፀው፡ እምውስተ፡ ሊባኖስ።
“Send me also cedar trees, cypress trees, and algum trees out of Lebanon, for I know that your servants know how to cut timber in Lebanon. Behold, my servants will be with your servants,
2:9
וְהִנֵּ֣ה לַֽחֹטְבִ֣ים לְֽכֹרְתֵ֣י הָעֵצִ֡ים נָתַ֩תִּי֩ חִטִּ֨ים׀מַכּ֜וֹת לַעֲבָדֶ֗יךָ כֹּרִים֙ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים אֶ֔לֶף וּשְׂעֹרִ֕ים כֹּרִ֖ים עֶשְׂרִ֣ים אָ֑לֶף וְיַ֗יִן בַּתִּים֙ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים אֶ֔לֶף וְשֶׁ֕מֶן בַּתִּ֖ים עֶשְׂרִ֥ים אָֽלֶף׃ {ס}
καὶ ἰδοὺ τοῖς ἐργαζομένοις τοῖς κόπτουσιν ξύλα εἰς βρώματα δέδωκα σῖτον εἰς δόματα τοῖς παισίν σου κόρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας καὶ κριθῶν κόρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας καὶ οἴνου μέτρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας καὶ ἐλαίου μέτρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας
ut parentur mihi ligna plurima. Domus enim quam cupio aedificare, magna est nimis, et inclyta.
ወናሁ፡ አግብርቲከ፡ ምስለ፡ አግብርትየ፡ ከመ፡ ይሑሩ፡ ወያስተዳልዉ፡ ሊተ፡ ዕፀወ፡ ብዙኅ፡ እስመ፡ ቤተ፡ ዘአነ፡ አሐንፅ፡ ዓቢይ፡ ወክቡር።
even to prepare timber in abundance for me; for the house which I am about to build will be great and wonderful.
2:10
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר חוּרָ֤ם מֶלֶךְ־צֹר֙ בִּכְתָ֔ב וַיִּשְׁלַ֖ח אֶל־שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה בְּאַהֲבַ֤ת יְהֹוָה֙ אֶת־עַמּ֔וֹ נְתָנְךָ֥ עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מֶֽלֶךְ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Χιραμ βασιλεὺς Τύρου ἐν γραφῇ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς Σαλωμων ἐν τῷ ἀγαπῆσαι κύριον τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ ἔδωκέν σε ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς εἰς βασιλέα
Praeterea operariis qui caesuri sunt ligna, servis tuis, dabo in cibaria tritici coros viginti millia, et hordei coros totidem, et vini viginti millia metretas, olei quoque sata viginti millia.
ወናሁ፡ ወሀብኩከ፡ ለእለ፡ ይትቀነዩ፡ ወለእለ፡ ይገዝሙ፡ ዕፀወ፡ ሲሳዮሙ፡ ሥርናየ፡ በጸጋ፡ ለአግብርቲከ፡ ክልኤተ፡ እልፈ፡ በመስፈርተ፡ ቆሮስ፡ ወሰገመ፡ ክልኤተ፡ እልፈ፡ በመስፈርተ፡ ቆሮስ፡ ወወይነ፡ ክልኤተ፡ እልፈ፡ በመስፈርተ፡ ኔባል፡ ወዘይተኒ፡ ክልኤተ፡ እልፈ፡ በመስፈርተ፡ ባዶስ።
Behold, I will give to your servants, the cutters who cut timber, twenty thousand cors of beaten wheat, twenty thousand baths of barley, twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.”
2:11
וַיֹּ֘אמֶר֮ חוּרָם֒ בָּר֤וּךְ יְהֹוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה אֶת־הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וְאֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָתַן֩ לְדָוִ֨יד הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ בֵּ֣ן חָכָ֗ם יוֹדֵ֙עַ֙ שֵׂ֣כֶל וּבִינָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִבְנֶה־בַּ֙יִת֙ לַיהֹוָ֔ה וּבַ֖יִת לְמַלְכוּתֽוֹ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Χιραμ εὐλογητὸς κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὃς ἐποίησεν τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν ὃς ἔδωκεν τῷ Δαυιδ τῷ βασιλεῖ υἱὸν σοφὸν καὶ ἐπιστάμενον σύνεσιν καὶ ἐπιστήμην ὃς οἰκοδομήσει οἶκον τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ οἶκον τῇ βασιλείᾳ αὐτοῦ
Dixit autem Hiram rex Tyri per litteras quas miserat Salomoni : Quia dilexit Dominus populum suum, idcirco te regnare fecit super eum.
ወጸሐፈ፡ ኪራም፡ ንጉሠ፡ ጢሮስ፡ ወፈነወ፡ ኀበ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ እንዘ፡ ይብል፡ አፍቂሮ፡ ወኃሪዮ፡ ኪያከ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ወሕዝበ፡ ዚአሁ፡ ሤመከ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ፡ ንጉሠ።
Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, “Because Yahweh loves his people, he has made you king over them.”
2:12
וְעַתָּ֗ה שָׁלַ֧חְתִּי אִישׁ־חָכָ֛ם יוֹדֵ֥עַ בִּינָ֖ה לְחוּרָ֥ם אָבִֽי׃
καὶ νῦν ἀπέσταλκά σοι ἄνδρα σοφὸν καὶ εἰδότα σύνεσιν τὸν Χιραμ τὸν πατέρα μου
Et addidit, dicens : Benedictus Dominus Deus Israël, qui fecit caelum et terram : qui dedit David regi filium sapientem et eruditum et sensatum atque prudentem, ut aedificaret domum Domino, et palatium sibi.
ወይቤ፡ ኪራም፡ ነጉሠ፡ ጢሮስ፡ ይትባረክ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል፡ ዘገብረ፡ ሰማየ፡ ወምድረ፡ ዘወሀቦ፡ ለዳዊት፡ ንጉሥ፡ ወልደ፡ ጠቢበ፡ ወለባዌ፡ ወዘየአምር፡ ጥበበ፡ ወልቡና፡ ከመ፡ ይሕንፅ፡ ቤተ፡ ለስመ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ወቤተ፡ መንግሥተ፡ ዚአሁ።
Huram continued, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, who would build a house for Yahweh and a house for his kingdom.
2:13
בֶּן־אִשָּׁ֞ה מִן־בְּנ֣וֹת דָּ֗ן וְאָבִ֣יו אִישׁ־צֹרִ֡י יוֹדֵ֡עַ לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת בַּזָּֽהָב־וּ֠בַכֶּ֠סֶף בַּנְּחֹ֨שֶׁת בַּבַּרְזֶ֜ל בָּאֲבָנִ֣ים וּבָעֵצִ֗ים בָּאַרְגָּמָ֤ן בַּתְּכֵ֙לֶת֙ וּבַבּ֣וּץ וּבַכַּרְמִ֔יל וּלְפַתֵּ֙חַ֙ כׇּל־פִּתּ֔וּחַ וְלַחְשֹׁ֖ב כׇּל־מַחֲשָׁ֑בֶת אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִנָּֽתֶן־לוֹ֙ עִם־חֲכָמֶ֔יךָ וְֽחַכְמֵ֔י אֲדֹנִ֖י דָּוִ֥יד אָבִֽיךָ׃
ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ θυγατέρων Δαν καὶ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ ἀνὴρ Τύριος εἰδότα ποιῆσαι ἐν χρυσίῳ καὶ ἐν ἀργυρίῳ καὶ ἐν χαλκῷ καὶ ἐν σιδήρῳ ἐν λίθοις καὶ ξύλοις καὶ ὑφαίνειν ἐν τῇ πορφύρᾳ καὶ ἐν τῇ ὑακίνθῳ καὶ ἐν τῇ βύσσῳ καὶ ἐν τῷ κοκκίνῳ καὶ γλύψαι γλυφὰς καὶ διανοεῖσθαι πᾶσαν διανόησιν ὅσα ἂν δῷς αὐτῷ μετὰ τῶν σοφῶν σου καὶ σοφῶν Δαυιδ κυρίου μου πατρός σου
Misi ergo tibi virum prudentem et scientissimum Hiram patrem meum,
ወይእዜኒ፡ ፈኖኩ፡ ለከ፡ ብእሴ፡ ጠቢበ፡ ዘየአምር፡ ጥበበ፡ ወልባዌ፡ ኪራምሃ፡ ቊልዔየ።

2:14
וְ֠עַתָּ֠ה הַחִטִּ֨ים וְהַשְּׂעֹרִ֜ים הַשֶּׁ֤מֶן וְהַיַּ֙יִן֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָמַ֣ר אֲדֹנִ֔י יִשְׁלַ֖ח לַעֲבָדָֽיו׃
καὶ νῦν τὸν σῖτον καὶ τὴν κριθὴν καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον καὶ τὸν οἶνον ἃ εἶπεν ὁ κύριός μου ἀποστειλάτω τοῖς παισὶν αὐτοῦ
filium mulieris de filiabus Dan, cujus pater fuit Tyrius, qui novit operari in auro, et argento, aere, et ferro, et marmore, et lignis, in purpura quoque, et hyacintho, et bysso, et coccino : et qui scit caelare omnem sculpturam, et adinvenire prudenter quodcumque in opere necessarium est cum artificibus tuis, et cum artificibus domini mei David patris tui.
ወዘመዳ፡ ለእሙ፡ እምአዋልደ፡ ዳን፡ ወአቡሁኒ፡ ብእሲ፡ እምጢሮስ፡ ወየአምር፡ ተቀንዮ፡ ወለቢጠ፡ በወርቅ፡ ወበብሩር፡ ወበብርት፡ ወበሐፂን፡ ወበእብን፡ ወበፅፀው፡ ወይክል፡ አኒመ፡ ሜላት፡ በምክንት፡ ወአልባስ፡ ክቡር፡ ወአልባሰ፡ ለይወይክል፡ ገሊፈ፡ አምሳል፡ ወይሔሊ፡ ወይሌቡ፡ ኵሎ፡ ግብረ፡ ዘአንተ፡ መጠውኮ፡ ለተቀንዮ፡ ምስለ፡ ጠቢባኒከ፡ ወጠበብተ፡ ዳዊት፡ እግዚእየ፡ አቡከ።
the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan; and his father was a man of Tyre. He is skillful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stone, in timber, in purple, in blue, in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any kind of engraving and to devise any device, that there may be a place appointed to him with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father.
2:15
וַ֠אֲנַ֠חְנוּ נִכְרֹ֨ת עֵצִ֤ים מִן־הַלְּבָנוֹן֙ כְּכׇל־צׇרְכֶּ֔ךָ וּנְבִיאֵ֥ם לְךָ֛ רַפְסֹד֖וֹת עַל־יָ֣ם יָפ֑וֹ וְאַתָּ֛ה תַּעֲלֶ֥ה אֹתָ֖ם יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ {פ}
καὶ ἡμεῖς κόψομεν ξύλα ἐκ τοῦ Λιβάνου κατὰ πᾶσαν τὴν χρείαν σου καὶ ἄξομεν αὐτὰ σχεδίαις ἐπὶ θάλασσαν Ιόππης καὶ σὺ ἄξεις αὐτὰ εἰς Ιερουσαλημ
Triticum ergo, et hordeum, et oleum, et vinum, quae pollicitus es, domine mi, mitte servis tuis.
ወይእዜኒ፡ ሥርናየ፡ ወሰገመ፡ ወዘይተ፡ ወወይነ፡ ዘይቤ፡ እግዚእየ፡ ከመ፡ ይፈኑ፡ ለአግብርቲሁ፡ መጠኑ።
“Now therefore, the wheat, the barley, the oil, and the wine which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants;
2:16
וַיִּסְפֹּ֣ר שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה כׇּל־הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים הַגֵּירִים֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אַחֲרֵ֣י הַסְּפָ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר סְפָרָ֖ם דָּוִ֣יד אָבִ֑יו וַיִּמָּֽצְא֗וּ מֵאָ֤ה וַחֲמִשִּׁים֙ אֶ֔לֶף וּשְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֖ים וְשֵׁ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃
καὶ συνήγαγεν Σαλωμων πάντας τοὺς ἄνδρας τοὺς προσηλύτους ἐν γῇ Ισραηλ μετὰ τὸν ἀριθμόν ὃν ἠρίθμησεν αὐτοὺς Δαυιδ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ καὶ εὑρέθησαν ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τρισχίλιοι ἑξακόσιοι
Nos autem caedemus ligna de Libano, quot necessaria habueris, et applicabimus ea ratibus per mare in Joppe : tuum autem erit transferre ea in Jerusalem.
ወንሕነሂ፡ ንገዝም፡ ዕፀወ፡ እምሊባኖስ፡ ወኵሎ፡ ከመ፡ ዘያፈትዉከ፡ ወናመጽኦሙ፡ ወንገብሮሙ፡ አርማሰ፡ እንተ፡ ባሕር፡ እስከ፡ ብሔረ፡ ኢዮጴ፡ ወአንተ፡ ትትሜጠዎሙ፡ እምህየ፡ ወታበጽሖሙ፡ ኀበ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም።
and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you need. We will bring it to you in rafts by sea to Joppa; then you shall carry it up to Jerusalem.”
2:17
וַיַּ֨עַשׂ מֵהֶ֜ם שִׁבְעִ֥ים אֶ֙לֶף֙ סַבָּ֔ל וּשְׁמֹנִ֥ים אֶ֖לֶף חֹצֵ֣ב בָּהָ֑ר וּשְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת אֲלָפִים֙ וְשֵׁ֣שׁ מֵא֔וֹת מְנַצְּחִ֖ים לְהַעֲבִ֥יד אֶת־הָעָֽם׃
καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐξ αὐτῶν ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδας νωτοφόρων καὶ ὀγδοήκοντα χιλιάδας λατόμων καὶ τρισχιλίους ἑξακοσίους ἐργοδιώκτας ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν
Numeravit igitur Salomon omnes viros proselytos qui erant in terra Israël, post dinumerationem quam dinumeravit David pater ejus, et inventi sunt centum quinquaginta millia, et tria millia sexcenti.
ወአስተጋብአ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ንጉሥ፡ ኵሎ፡ እደወ፡ ፈላስያነ፡ እለ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድረ፡ እስራኤል፡ እለ፡ ኢተሐሰቡ፡ ወኢተኈለቁ፡ ምስለ፡ ዘኈለቈ፡ ዳዊት፡ አቡሁ፡ ወተረክበ፡ መክብቦሙ፡ ዓሠርቱ፡ እልፍ፡ ወኃምስቱ፡ እልፍ፡ ወሠላሳ፡ ምእት፡ ወስድስቱ፡ ምእት።
Solomon counted all the foreigners who were in the land of Israel, after the census with which David his father had counted them; and they found one hundred fifty-three thousand six hundred.
2:18——
Fecitque ex eis septuaginta millia qui humeris onera portarent, et octoginta millia qui lapides in montibus caederent : tria autem millia et sexcentos praepositos operum populi.
ወረሰየ፡ እምውስቴቶሙ፡ ሰብዐተ፡ እልፈ፡ ፀወርተ፡ ወሰመንተ፡ እልፈ፡ ወቀርተ፡ እብን፡ ወሠላሳ፡ ምእተ፡ ወስድስተ፡ ምእተ፡ እለ፡ ይነድእዎሙ፡ ወይቀንይዎሙ፡ ለሕዝብ።
He set seventy thousand of them to bear burdens, eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred overseers to assign the people their work.
