1:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Παῦλος καὶ Σιλουανὸς καὶ Τιμόθεος τῇ ἐκκλησίᾳ Θεσσαλονικέων ἐν θεῷ πατρὶ καὶ κυρίῳ Ἰησοῦ Χριστῷ . χάρις ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη .

እምጳውሎስ ወስልዋኖስ ወጢሞቴዎስ ለቤተ ክርስቲያን ዘተሰሎንቄ ምእመናን በእግዚአብሔር አቡነ ወእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ሰላም ለክሙ ወጸጋ እግዚአብሔር አቡነ ወእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ።
Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ Εὐχαριστοῦμεν τῷ θεῷ πάντοτε περὶ πάντων ὑμῶν , μνείαν ποιούμενοι ἐπὶ τῶν προσευχῶν ἡμῶν ,
Gratia vobis , et pax . Gratias agimus Deo semper pro omnibus vobis , memoriam vestri facientes in orationibus nostris sine intermissione ,
ነአኵቶ ለእግዚአብሔር ዘልፈ በእንቲአክሙ ወንዜከረክሙ ወትረ በጸሎትነ ።
We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,
1:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀδιαλείπτως μνημονεύοντες ὑμῶν τοῦ ἔργου τῆς πίστεως καὶ τοῦ κόπου τῆς ἀγάπης καὶ τῆς ὑπομονῆς τῆς ἐλπίδος τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ πατρὸς ἡμῶν ,
memores operis fidei vestrae , et laboris , et caritatis , et sustinentiae spei Domini nostri Jesu Christi , ante Deum et Patrem nostrum :
ወንዜከር በቅድመ እግዚአብሔር አቡነ ግብረ ሃይማኖትክሙ ወጽንዐ ፍቅርክሙ ወትዕግሥተ ተስፋክሙ በእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ።
remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.
1:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἰδότες , ἀδελφοὶ ἠγαπημένοι ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ , τὴν ἐκλογὴν ὑμῶν ,
scientes , fratres dilecti a Deo , electionem vestram :
ወነአምር አኀዊነ ፍቁራን ዘከመ ኀረየክሙ እግዚአብሔር ።
We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,
1:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτι τὸ εὐαγγέλιον ἡμῶν οὐκ ἐγενήθη εἰς ὑμᾶς ἐν λόγῳ μόνον ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐν δυνάμει καὶ ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ καὶ πληροφορίᾳ πολλῇ , καθὼς οἴδατε οἷοι ἐγενήθημεν ἐν ὑμῖν δι’ ὑμᾶς .
quia Evangelium nostrum non fuit ad vos in sermone tantum , sed et in virtute , et in Spiritu Sancto , et in plenitudine multa , sicut scitis quales fuerimus in vobis propter vos .
እስመ ኢኮነ ትምህርትነ ኀቤክሙ በነገር ባሕቲቱ ዓዲ በኀይልኒ ወበመንፈስ ቅዱስ ወበስኢል ምእመን ወአንትሙሂ ተአምሩ ዘከመ ኮነ በኀቤክሙ በእንቲኣክሙ ።
and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.
1:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ὑμεῖς μιμηταὶ ἡμῶν ἐγενήθητε καὶ τοῦ κυρίου , δεξάμενοι τὸν λόγον ἐν θλίψει πολλῇ μετὰ χαρᾶς πνεύματος ἁγίου ,
Et vos imitatores nostri facti estis , et Domini , excipientes verbum in tribulatione multa , cum gaudio Spiritus Sancti :
ወናሁ ኪያነ ተመሰልክሙ ወተወከፍክሙ ቃለ እግዚአብሔር በብዙኅ ሕማም ምስለ ፍሥሓ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ።
You became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,
1:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὥστε γενέσθαι ὑμᾶς τύπον πᾶσιν τοῖς πιστεύουσιν ἐν τῇ Μακεδονίᾳ καὶ ἐν τῇ Ἀχαΐᾳ .
ita ut facti sitis forma omnibus credentibus in Macedonia , et in Achaia .
ወኮንክምዎሙ አርኣያ ለእለ አምኑ ኵሎሙ እለ በመቄዶንያ ወአካይያ ።
so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.
1:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀφ’ ὑμῶν γὰρ ἐξήχηται ὁ λόγος τοῦ κυρίου οὐ μόνον ἐν τῇ Μακεδονίᾳ καὶ ἐν τῇ Ἀχαΐᾳ , ἀλλ’ ἐν παντὶ τόπῳ ἡ πίστις ὑμῶν ἡ πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ἐξελήλυθεν , ὥστε μὴ χρείαν ἔχειν ἡμᾶς λαλεῖν τι ·
A vobis enim diffamatus est sermo Domini , non solum in Macedonia , et in Achaia , sed et in omni loco fides vestra , quae est ad Deum , profecta est ita ut non sit nobis necesse quidquam loqui .
እስመ እምኀቤክሙ ተምህሩ ቃለ እግዚእነ ወሰምዑ ወአኮ በመቄዶንያ ወአካይያ ባሕቲቱ ዓዲ በኵሉ በሐውርት ተሰምዐት ሃይማኖትክሙ በእግዚአብሔር ወኢንፈቅድ ንሕነ ምንተኒ ንንግር በእንቲኣክሙ ።
For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we need not say anything.
1:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ αὐτοὶ γὰρ περὶ ἡμῶν ἀπαγγέλλουσιν ὁποίαν εἴσοδον ἔσχομεν πρὸς ὑμᾶς , καὶ πῶς ἐπεστρέψατε πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ἀπὸ τῶν εἰδώλων δουλεύειν θεῷ ζῶντι καὶ ἀληθινῷ ,
Ipsi enim de nobis annuntiant qualem introitum habuerimus ad vos : et quomodo conversi estis ad Deum a simulacris , servire Deo vivo , et vero ,
ለሊሆሙ የአምሩ ዘከመ ቦእነ ኀቤክሙ ወዘከመ ተመየጥክሙ ኀበ እግዚአብሔር እምአምልኮ ጣዖት ከመ ትትቀነዩ ለአምላክ ሕያው ወጻድቅ ።
For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,
1:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀναμένειν τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῶν οὐρανῶν , ὃν ἤγειρεν ἐκ τῶν νεκρῶν , Ἰησοῦν τὸν ῥυόμενον ἡμᾶς ἐκ τῆς ὀργῆς τῆς ἐρχομένης .
et exspectare Filium ejus de caelis (quem suscitavit a mortuis ) Jesum , qui eripuit nos ab ira ventura .
እንዘ ትሴፈውዎ ለወልዱ እምሰማያት ዘተንሥአ እሙታን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ወውእቱ ያድኅነነ እመንሱት ዘይመጽእ ።
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead: Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
