18:1 וַֽיְהִי֙ אַֽחֲרֵי־כֵ֔ן וַיַּ֥ךְ דָּוִ֛יד אֶת־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים וַיַּכְנִיעֵ֑ם וַיִּקַּ֛ח אֶת־גַּ֥ת וּבְנֹתֶ֖יהָ מִיַּ֥ד פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃此後，大衛攻打非利士人，把他們治服，從他們手下奪取了迦特和屬迦特的村莊；After this, David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
18:2 וַיַּ֖ךְ אֶת־מוֹאָ֑ב וַיִּהְי֤וּ מוֹאָב֙ עֲבָדִ֣ים לְדָוִ֔יד נֹשְׂאֵ֖י מִנְחָֽה׃又攻打摩押，摩押人就歸服大衛，給他進貢。He defeated Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David and brought tribute.
18:3 וַיַּ֥ךְ דָּוִ֛יד אֶת־הֲדַדְעֶ֥זֶר מֶלֶךְ־צוֹבָ֖ה חֲמָ֑תָה בְּלֶכְתּ֕וֹ לְהַצִּ֥יב יָד֖וֹ בִּֽנְהַר־פְּרָֽת׃瑣巴王哈大利謝 往幼發拉底河去，要堅定自己的國權，大衛就攻打他，直到哈馬，David defeated Hadadezer king of Zobah, toward Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
18:4 וַיִּלְכֹּד֩ דָּוִ֨יד מִמֶּ֜נּוּ אֶ֣לֶף רֶ֗כֶב וְשִׁבְעַ֤ת אֲלָפִים֙ פָּרָשִׁ֔ים וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים אֶ֖לֶף אִ֣ישׁ רַגְלִ֑י וַיְעַקֵּ֤ר דָּוִיד֙ אֶת־כׇּל־הָרֶ֔כֶב וַיּוֹתֵ֥ר מִמֶּ֖נּוּ מֵ֥אָה רָֽכֶב׃奪了他的戰車一千，馬兵七千，步兵二萬，將拉戰車的馬砍斷蹄筋，但留下一百輛車的馬。David took from him one thousand chariots, seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them enough for one hundred chariots.
18:5 וַיָּבֹא֙ אֲרַ֣ם דַּרְמֶ֔שֶׂק לַעְז֕וֹר לַהֲדַדְעֶ֖זֶר מֶ֣לֶךְ צוֹבָ֑ה וַיַּ֤ךְ דָּוִיד֙ בַּאֲרָ֔ם עֶשְׂרִֽים־וּשְׁנַ֥יִם אֶ֖לֶף אִֽישׁ׃大馬士革的亞蘭人來幫助瑣巴王哈大利謝，大衛就殺了亞蘭人二萬二千。When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck twenty-two thousand men of the Syrians.
18:6 וַיָּ֤שֶׂם דָּוִיד֙ בַּאֲרַ֣ם דַּרְמֶ֔שֶׂק וַיְהִ֤י אֲרָם֙ לְדָוִ֔יד עֲבָדִ֖ים נֹשְׂאֵ֣י מִנְחָ֑ה וַיּ֤וֹשַׁע יְהֹוָה֙ לְדָוִ֔יד בְּכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָלָֽךְ׃於是大衛在大馬士革的亞蘭地設立防營，亞蘭人就歸服他，給他進貢。大衛無論往哪裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
18:7 וַיִּקַּ֣ח דָּוִ֗יד אֵ֚ת שִׁלְטֵ֣י הַזָּהָ֔ב אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָי֔וּ עַ֖ל עַבְדֵ֣י הֲדַדְעָ֑זֶר וַיְבִיאֵ֖ם יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃他奪了哈大利謝臣僕所拿的金盾牌帶到耶路撒冷。David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
18:8 וּמִטִּבְחַ֤ת וּמִכּוּן֙ עָרֵ֣י הֲדַדְעֶ֔זֶר לָקַ֥ח דָּוִ֛יד נְחֹ֖שֶׁת רַבָּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד בָּ֣הּ׀ עָשָׂ֣ה שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה אֶת־יָ֤ם הַנְּחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ וְאֶת־הָֽעַמּוּדִ֔ים וְאֵ֖ת כְּלֵ֥י הַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃ {פ}大衛又從屬哈大利謝的提巴 和均二城中奪取了許多的銅。後來所羅門用此製造銅海、銅柱，和一切的銅器。From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze sea, the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
18:9 וַיִּשְׁמַ֕ע תֹּ֖עוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ חֲמָ֑ת כִּ֚י הִכָּ֣ה דָוִ֔יד אֶת־כׇּל־חֵ֖יל הֲדַדְעֶ֥זֶר מֶלֶךְ־צוֹבָֽה׃哈馬王陀烏聽見大衛殺敗瑣巴王哈大利謝的全軍，When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,
18:10 וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח אֶת־הֲדֽוֹרָם־בְּנ֣וֹ אֶל־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־דָּ֠וִ֠יד (לשאול) [לִשְׁאׇל־]ל֨וֹ לְשָׁל֜וֹם וּֽלְבָרְכ֗וֹ עַל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר נִלְחַ֤ם בַּהֲדַדְעֶ֙זֶר֙ וַיַּכֵּ֔הוּ כִּי־אִ֛ישׁ מִלְחֲמ֥וֹת תֹּ֖עוּ הָיָ֣ה הֲדַדְעָ֑זֶר וְכֹ֗ל כְּלֵ֛י זָהָ֥ב וָכֶ֖סֶף וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃就打發他兒子哈多蘭去見大衛王，問他的安，為他祝福，因為他殺敗了哈大利謝（原來陀烏與哈大利謝常常爭戰）。哈多蘭帶了金銀銅的各樣器皿來。he sent Hadoram his son to King David to greet him and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him (for Hadadezer had wars with Tou); and he had with him all kinds of vessels of gold and silver and bronze.
18:11 גַּם־אֹתָ֗ם הִקְדִּ֞ישׁ הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ דָּוִיד֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה עִם־הַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ וְהַזָּהָ֔ב אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָשָׂ֖א מִכׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם מֵאֱד֤וֹם וּמִמּוֹאָב֙ וּמִבְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן וּמִפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים וּמֵעֲמָלֵֽק׃大衛王將這些器皿，並從各國奪來的金銀，就是從以東、摩押、亞捫、非利士、亞瑪力人所奪來的，都分別為聖獻給耶和華。King David also dedicated these to Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations: from Edom, from Moab, from the children of Ammon, from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
18:12 וְאַבְשַׁ֣י בֶּן־צְרוּיָ֗ה הִכָּ֤ה אֶת־אֱדוֹם֙ בְּגֵ֣יא הַמֶּ֔לַח שְׁמוֹנָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר אָֽלֶף׃洗魯雅的兒子亞比篩在鹽谷擊殺了以東一萬八千人。Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah struck eighteen thousand of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt.
18:13 וַיָּ֤שֶׂם בֶּאֱדוֹם֙ נְצִיבִ֔ים וַיִּהְי֥וּ כׇל־אֱד֖וֹם עֲבָדִ֣ים לְדָוִ֑יד וַיּ֤וֹשַׁע יְהֹוָה֙ אֶת־דָּוִ֔יד בְּכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָלָֽךְ׃大衛在以東地設立防營，以東人就都歸服他。大衛無論往哪裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。He put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
18:14 וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ דָּוִ֖יד עַל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיְהִ֗י עֹשֶׂ֛ה מִשְׁפָּ֥ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה לְכׇל־עַמּֽוֹ׃大衛作以色列眾人的王，又向眾民秉公行義。David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness for all his people.
18:15 וְיוֹאָ֥ב בֶּן־צְרוּיָ֖ה עַל־הַצָּבָ֑א וִיהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בֶּן־אֲחִיל֖וּד מַזְכִּֽיר׃洗魯雅的兒子約押作元帥；亞希律的兒子約沙法作史官；Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
18:16 וְצָד֧וֹק בֶּן־אֲחִיט֛וּב וַאֲבִימֶ֥לֶךְ בֶּן־אֶבְיָתָ֖ר כֹּהֲנִ֑ים וְשַׁוְשָׁ֖א סוֹפֵֽר׃亞希突的兒子撒督和亞比亞他的兒子亞希米勒作祭司長；沙威沙作書記；Zadok the son of Ahitub and Abimelech the son of Abiathar were priests; Shavsha was scribe;
18:17 וּבְנָיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּן־יְה֣וֹיָדָ֔ע עַל־הַכְּרֵתִ֖י וְהַפְּלֵתִ֑י וּבְנֵי־דָוִ֥יד הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֖ים לְיַ֥ד הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ {פ}耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅統轄基利提人和比利提人。大衛的眾子都在王的左右作領袖。and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief officials serving the king.
